Stoney's was founded by William Benjamin "Stoney" Jones. In 1907, Stoney won the Eureka Brewing Company in Sutersville, PA during a poker game and moved the operation to Smithton, PA. After Prohibition ended in 1933, Jones officially renamed the brewery and the beer became Stoney's.
